The West Port is seeking a talented and motivated Commis Chef/Chef De Partie to join our dynamic kitchen team. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality dishes that bring joy to our guests, and we're looking for someone who shares our passion for great food.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist senior chefs in food preparation and cooking tasks to ensure timely service.
- Follow recipes and presentation specifications as directed by the kitchen team.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen workspace.
- Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are adhered to.
- Stock and replenish ingredients and supplies in the kitchen.
- Participate in menu planning and recipe development, offering creative suggestions.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a professional kitchen is preferred.
- A passion for cooking and a desire to learn from experienced chefs.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team, under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
