We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes in a fast-paced restaurant environment, ensuring food safety standards are maintained at all times. Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
Assist in food presentation to ensure dishes are visually appealing
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with health and safety regulations
Supervise junior kitchen staff during shifts, providing guidance and support as needed
Monitor stock levels and communicate supply needs to management
Ensure all food safety protocols are strictly followed, including proper storage and handling of ingredients
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service and customer satisfaction
Participate in menu planning and development, offering creative input where appropriate
Experience
Proven experience in food production within a restaurant or hospitality setting
Supervising experience in a kitchen environment is desirable
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and procedures
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure
Experience in culinary arts, with a good understanding of cooking techniques and presentation skills
Previous roles involving team management, leadership, or serving customers will be advantageous
A background in hospitality or restaurant operations that highlights organisational skills and attention to detail
