Duties

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards Assist in food presentation to ensure visual appeal and quality Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations in compliance with food safety regulations Monitor ingredient stock levels and notify management of shortages or replenishment needs Support team members during busy service periods, ensuring smooth kitchen operations Follow health and safety procedures diligently to uphold hygiene standards Supervise junior staff when required, providing guidance on food preparation and safety protocols Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service delivery

Experience

Proven experience working as a Cook or in a similar kitchen role within a restaurant or hospitality environment Supervising experience is desirable, demonstrating leadership and team management skills Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices Experience in managing kitchen operations during high-volume service periods Familiarity with restaurant service procedures and customer interaction is advantageous Previous experience in hospitality or serving roles is beneficial but not essential
