Sheffield City Council's Children's Commissioning Team have an exciting opportunity for two temporary Commissioning Officer for Children's Services within the Integrated Commissioning and Public Health Directorate. The posts arewell suited to peoplewho haveexperience of working within a and SEND or social care environment, particularly within contract management, procurement, managing service level agreements and/or quality assurance or related areas of work.

In role1you will undertake market engagement and due diligence with new social care Providers and support contract negotiations and performance management with existing external Providers to support sufficiency of high quality children's placements. This includes Children's Residential Homes and Independent Foster Agencies, working closely with the Placements Team and Quality Assurance Team as well as finance, procurement and legal services.
I role 2 you will work with a range of local Providers who deliver short breaks to the families of children with disabilities, ensuring sufficiency and high quality through contract management, working closely with the SNIPS team and social care. You will also work with the Youth Justice Service to support their external contracts, including working with procurement to commission new services.
You will need to be motivated, enjoy new challenges, have good analytical and communication skills, be equally able to work individually and as part of a team. You will need to be able to gather, analyse and present complex data and information from a range of sources to a varied audience. You will have an ability to prioritise your own work, taking into account both team and organisational requirements and be able to negotiate and resolve complex problems.

If you are appointed to this role, your starting salary will be at the bottom of the grade. If you provide payslip evidence that your basic pay is greater than the bottom of the grade, we will consider starting you at the point of minimum advantage within the grade.
