Job description
We are looking for a professional, courteous, friendly and welcoming individual to join our staff team at RavenscliffeHigh School. This exciting fixed term position requires an effective communicator with a positive outlook who can contribute to the hardworking and dedicated administration team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading on the day to day communications at RavenscliffeHigh School, engaging with families and other stakeholders through a variety of channels and for a variety of purposes.
They will also lead on the planning and delivery of a range of events throughout the year, such as consultation evenings, community, and fundraising events. The position also entails key administrative duties, and support for other business functions, all of which are essential to the smooth running of the school on a daily basis.
A particular focus of the role is to continue the hardworkof the current postholder by maintaining and increasing the school's reach and visibility on social media; creating and publishing engaging content which publicises the school and its activities in the best possible light.
Experience in the education sector is desirable but not essential. We would be equally interested to hear from candidates who currently work or have experience in other sectors, in particular social media and public relations.
The position is 21 hours per week term time plus 3 days to be worked during school closure periods,
Key Responsibilities:
Creating and sharing relevant and engaging content with the parents, carers and the wider community using a number of communication tools, particularly social media.
Supporting the organisation and delivery of a range of whole school and community events.
Acting as an integral member of the administration team, undertaking all duties associated with the smooth and efficient running of the school's administrative function.
