We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Centre Manager to oversee the daily operations of our community centre. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a background in project management, and experience in supervising teams. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead programmes that promote public health, education, and community engagement. The Centre Manager will be responsible for ensuring the centre runs efficiently, fostering positive relationships with stakeholders, and implementing strategic initiatives to enhance centre activities.
Responsibilities
Lead and supervise staff and volunteers to deliver programmes effectively and maintain high standards of service.
Develop and implement strategic plans to increase centre utilisation through marketing, social media management, and community outreach.
Oversee programme planning, including organising classes, workshops, and events related to public health, education, or arts.
Manage fundraising efforts by identifying opportunities, building partnerships, and maintaining relationships with donors and sponsors.
Coordinate administrative tasks such as budgeting, reporting, and maintaining records to ensure smooth centre operations.
Promote the centre's activities via social media platforms and local community channels to maximise engagement.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a safe environment for visitors and staff.
Support teaching staff in curriculum development or programme delivery as required.
Requirements
Proven supervising experience with a track record of leading successful teams or projects.
Strong project management skills with the ability to organise multiple programmes simultaneously.
Demonstrated leadership qualities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience in marketing and social media management to promote centre activities effectively.
Background in fundraising or grant writing is advantageous.
Administrative experience including budgeting, reporting, and record keeping.
Knowledge of public health principles relevant to community programmes is desirable.
Experience in teaching or programme delivery within educational or community settings is preferred.
