We have an exciting opportunity within our Governance team at BVT. Working alongside the Company Secretary, you will help to further strengthen BVT's governance by playing a key role in amplifying customer voices within our governance structure, supporting customer involvement in decision-making and leading on developing and coordinating BVT's scrutiny activities across the Trust.
It's a busy and varied position, engaging with a wide range of stakeholders including customers, board members, committee members, the Executive team, and colleagues across the organisation. You'll be able to apply your experience to help shape BVT's scrutiny offer, support customers within BVT's governance structure and make a meaningful impact.

Job Profile
We are looking to recruit to a new Community Voice Co-ordinator role to amplify customer voices within our governance structure and support customer involvement in decision-making and scrutiny activities across the Trust.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading on the development and coordination of BVT's scrutiny group meetings to ensure BVT tenants and wider customers can hold BVT to account.
Supporting customers involved in BVT governance and community governance structures to ensure they have all the tools, information and any support needed to be effective in their roles.
Supporting ongoing capacity building through training, guidance and one to one or group support to empower customers to be fully involved.
Working collaboratively with other teams to identify and onboard customers to take part in governance and scrutiny activities.
Championing equality and equity to ensure participation is inclusive, accessible and representative of the communities we serve.
Providing clear, accessible information and updates to support customer engagement.
Ensure resident-led managed clients can hold BVT to account for the delivery of services under the management agreements in place.
Monitoring, evaluating and improving scrutiny and customer voice activities.
Reporting regularly to BVT's Executive Team, committees and the Board of Trustees.
Ensuring compliance with RSH Consumer Standards, particularly the Transparency, Influence and Accountability Standard.
Collaborating with:
The Community Development & Involvement team and wider teams to promote and recruit to governance and scrutiny roles
Business Improvement and PR & Comms teams to ensure customers have access to information
Heads of Service and BVT Officers to engage with scrutiny groups and co-design ways to respond to issues raised
Candidate Profile
We are looking for someone who is values-driven, proactive, and passionate about delivering excellent service to internal and external stakeholders.
Essential qualities include:
A strong track record in community development, tenant engagement, or service improvement involving customers, including facilitating meetings with diverse groups.
Experience of building collaborative relationships that drive positive outcomes
Excellent communication, interpersonal, organisational, and analytical skills
Strong ICT, reporting, and presentation capabilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities, solve problems, and take initiative
Confidence in challenging current practices and presenting new ideas
A commitment to inclusion, ensuring that underrepresented voices are heard
Ability to coordinate with colleagues who have competing priorities and deadlines
Willingness to work flexibly, travel as needed, and complete a DBS disclosure
