We are seeking a versatile and detail-oriented Coordinator to join our small team, working across the National PTI business to support existing staff roles, developing and delivering public transport information datasets and platforms and having overall administrative and development oversight of the business. The new Co-ordinator post is designed to have oversight of the all functions of the business. It is designed to grow as more knowledge and skills are acquired. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative and interpersonal skills, be proficient in various office software, be used to working on their own initiative and demonstrate the ability to prioritise tasks.
Responsibilities
To liaise with National PTI staff to be aware of workloads, work tasks and developments required across the business, and to support and assist staff to improve outputs and response times.
To take on company administration oversight and tasks, including budget, contracts, Companies House, banking, staff, office and statutory requirements.
To set up and maintain a work plan overview, including deadlines and target dates, using available software platforms (diagrammatic, project, finance) and information systems to track, report on and follow up work progress and needs.
To monitor the progress of public transport information changes being undertaken via the existing Service Ownership Confirmation List (SOCL) system.
To use available system tools (DIVA, Opensearch, BODS) to develop and issue exports and reports as required.
To run checks and tests on output sites and mobile apps to ensure smooth operation, data completeness and accuracy, including addition of fares, real time and other data in order to improve information availability.
To check and liaise on data provided to, or extracted from, the Bus Open Data System to improve and maintain data standards.
To assist with verification of the data supplied to Traveline South West, BODS and RTPI projects, to use the DIVA system to cover for existing Data Co-ordinator work as required.
To liaise with National PTI partners about datasets, development and use of systems, researching new product developments and availability and matching this with member needs.
To handle and resolve any customer complaints from customers arising from any inaccuracies in the data supplied.
Requirements
Ability to understand and demonstrate experience and literacy in use of computer software packages, internet and IT systems. Minimum of 2 GCSEs or equivalent in Maths and English, plus NVQ 2 or above in IT; NVQ3 or above in Business Administration
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Excellent 3rd party liaison and communication skills
Previous experience in an administrative or data role is preferred
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards in all tasks
