We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team in Derby. In this role, you will play a crucial part in delivering person-centered care that aligns with our mission of enhancing the quality of life for our clients. Job Purpose:



As a Branch Nurse, you will play a vital role in assessing, planning, and implementing comprehensive care packages for clients. You will be responsible for ensuring that all care provided meets the highest standards of quality and safety, as well as guiding and supporting care staff through training, clinical delegation, and oversight.

Key Responsibilities:



1. Care Assessment and Planning:



Conduct detailed clinical assessments of clients' needs to ensure appropriate care is delivered. Develop, review, and update individualised care plans that reflect the unique needs of each client. Perform risk assessments to identify potential hazards in the client's environment and plan accordingly to minimise risks. Ensure all care plans are person-centred, focusing on the client's physical, emotional, and social well-being.

2. Care Implementation and Monitoring:



Oversee the implementation of care packages and ensure that the care provided adheres to the client's care plan. Regularly monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of care packages, making adjustments as necessary to meet changing needs. Coordinate with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic care.

3. Clinical Delegation:



Provide clinical oversight and delegation of tasks to care staff, ensuring they are competent and confident in delivering clinical care. Support care staff with the delivery of nursing tasks, offering guidance and supervision as needed. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices in homecare nursing.

4. Care Staff Training and Development:



Deliver and facilitate training for care staff on clinical skills and patient care protocols. Provide ongoing coaching, mentorship, and performance feedback to care staff to maintain high standards of care. Identify any gaps in knowledge or skills and arrange additional training or support as needed.

5. Documentation and Compliance:



Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care plans, assessments, and client progress. Ensure all documentation meets regulatory and company standards, adhering to confidentiality and data protection policies. Participate in internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with CQC (or equivalent) standards.

Key Skills & Competencies:



Strong clinical assessment and care planning skills. Ability to write detailed, person-centred care plans and risk assessments. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, especially in building rapport with clients, families, and staff. Ability to deliver and assess care staff training, ensuring high standards of clinical delegation. Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload. Knowledge of relevant regulations and best practices in homecare, including safeguarding and infection control.

Qualifications & Experience:



Essential:

Registered Nurse (NMC Pin required). Strong clinical assessment and care planning experience. Proven ability to manage and supervise care staff.

Desirable:

Previous experience in a leadership or mentoring role within healthcare. Experience working with elderly, disabled, or palliative care clients. Experience in complex care, community nursing, ICU, ED or a similar environment.
