The Conferencing & Events team forms part of UCL's Campus Experience and Infrastructure Division, supporting UCL's ambition to deliver a world-class campus experience and to generate commercial income to reinvest in the institution's teaching and research.

About the role

The Conferencing Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving the commercial growth of UCL's conferencing and events business. This will include identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, expanding the client base, and maximising revenue from existing facilities.
The postholder will develop and deliver a business development strategy, working closely with Operations, Marketing, Finance and Estates teams to ensure the smooth and profitable delivery of events. They will represent UCL at industry events, build long-term relationships with clients, and position UCL as a premier conferencing destination in London.

About you
-------------
To do this job you'll need:
Experience at leadership level within the Higher Education, Student Accommodation, or similar sectors.
Experience working in a conferencing business development role .
Experience in delivering business improvement projects.
A good understanding of relevant legislation and compliance requirements within conferencing.
Proficient user of Microsoft Office.
Experience in working effectively across several functions/departments.
