Summary

We are looking to recruit an experienced construction buyer and office all-rounder who can ensure materials are bought at the most competitive prices and are delivered to site on-time. You will have previous experience in taking off accurate quantities off working drawings, putting the information into budgets and sending enquires out to sub-contractors. Knowledge of building materials and their uses is essential.

Role Responsibilities

We are looking for an enthusiastic and confident individual who prides themselves in doing an excellent job.

Taking accurate materials off working drawings. Sourcing the most competitive prices Raising purchase orders for construction materials, plant and services in line with our build programmes. Building relationships with suppliers to encourage and sustain a quality supply service. Dealing with site and supplier queries and issues. Invoice checking and authorising/querying as and when necessary. Sending out specifications and enquiries to sub-contractors. Following up these enquires to ensure we get the most competitive price and service. Excellent communication skills to deal with all parties effectively and efficiently in written and verbal scenarios. Strong IT skills. Demonstrable initiative and fresh thinking attitude to find solutions and resolve queries autonomously. Highly numerate with excellent attention to detail.
