Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Buyer to join our procurement team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing materials and sub contractors that meet the company's quality standards while ensuring cost-effectiveness. This role requires strong negotiation skills, a solid understanding of supply chain logistics. The Buyer will collaborate closely with suppliers, sub contractors and internal stakeholders to enhance the overall purchasing process.

Duties

Develop and implement purchasing strategies that align with company objectives. Source, evaluate, and select suppliers and sub contractors based on quality, cost, and delivery capabilities. Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers and sub contractors to secure advantageous pricing and conditions. Manage relationships with suppliers and sub contractors to ensure timely delivery of goods and services. Monitor and forecast demand to maintain program. Collaborate with logistics teams to coordinate the transportation of goods. Analyse market trends and supplier performance to identify opportunities for improvement in the supply chain.

Experience

Proven experience as a Buyer or in a similar procurement role within a fast-paced environment. Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles and logistics operations. Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of successful contract negotiations. Familiarity with construction materials and trades. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data effectively. Exceptional communication skills for liaising with suppliers sub contractors and internal teams.
