skilled Contract Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and management of projects related to passive fire protection. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project and contract management, ideally but not essential, with specific experience in the passive fire services sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Contract Management:
Manage contracts with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Review and approve contract modifications, change orders, and claims.
Establish and maintain relationships with all parties, key stakeholders to deliver contract completion and resolve disputes.
Conduct regular contract reviews and audits to ensure adherence to agreed terms and conditions.
Project Management:
Lead and manage multiple projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.
Develop detailed project plans, including schedules, resources, and risk management strategies.
Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure project alignment and communication.
Monitor project progress, adjust plans as necessary, and report on project status to senior management.
Compliance and Quality Assurance:
Ensure all projects comply with relevant fire safety regulations, standards, and industry best practices.
Implement quality assurance processes to maintain high standards of service delivery.
Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies related to project execution and contract performance.
Financial Management:
Manage project budgets, forecasts, and reports.
Monitor project expenses and ensure effective cost control measures are in place.
Collaborate with the finance team to track contract payments and resolve any financial discrepancies.
Team Leadership:
Mentor and support project teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
Qualifications and experience:
o Professional Qualification (e.g. HNC/HND/Degree/Diploma) or equivalent
o Previous experience of construction/retrofit or fabric upgrades are preferred, however not essential.
o Previous experience in project and contract management, preferably in the passive fire services or construction industry.
o Understanding the implications of health and safety regulations.
o Ability to demonstrate a good knowledge of monthly reporting.
o Excellent team player whilst also holding the ability to work independently on own initiative.
o Excellent time management skills, with ability to work to tight deadlines.
o Strong IT skills, particularly Excel
o Good written and verbal communication skills and manner.
o Attention to detail.
o Friendly and professional manner.
o Ability to handle pressure and good time-management.
o Ability to be flexible and adapt to change and work effectively as part of a team.
o Good organisational skills in being able to multi-task and re-prioritise at frequent intervals.
o Full clean driving licence.
