Conveyancing Solicitor
to handle a varied caseload of
residential and commercial property transactions

The Role
As a Conveyancing Solicitor, you will manage your own caseload from instruction to completion, delivering a seamless and efficient service to clients. You will handle a mix of
freehold and leasehold
transactions,
sales, purchases, re-mortgages
, and
commercial leases
, ensuring compliance with regulatory and lender requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a full caseload of
residential and commercial conveyancing
files, including:
Freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
Re-mortgages and transfers of equity
New build and shared ownership transactions
Lease extensions and enfranchisement
Commercial property sales, purchases, and leases
Acting for landlords and tenants in lease matters
Carry out title checks, searches, enquiries, and draft or review contracts.
Liaise with estate agents, mortgage lenders, management companies, local authorities, and clients.
Prepare completion statements, conduct completions, and manage post-completion formalities (e.g., SDLT, Land Registry).
Ensure compliance with
SRA
,
CQS
, and
lender panel
requirements.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records using
LEAP case management software
.
Supervise junior team members, paralegals, or conveyancing assistants where required.
Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring excellent communication throughout the process.
Manage time recording, billing, and financial targets efficiently.
Key Skills & Experience
Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) or Licensed Conveyancer with
3+ years PQE
(minimum).
Strong technical knowledge of
residential and commercial conveyancing law
.
Proven ability to manage a busy caseload with minimal supervision.
Excellent drafting and attention to detail in reviewing contracts, leases, and title documents.
Strong client-care skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
Proficiency in
LEAP
or similar case management systems.
Familiarity with lender panel requirements and CQS compliance.
Commercial awareness and the ability to balance client service with efficiency.
Desirable
CQS accreditation.
Experience handling
high-value or complex property transactions
.
Experience supervising junior staff or managing a small team.
Experience in
property development
,
auction purchases
, or
bridging finance
.
Local network or business development experience.
