Bell Lax Solicitors are a growing company and due to this growth, we are looking to expand our team of Solicitors.

A fantastic opportunity for a PQE plus 5 has arisen for a Solicitor based in our Malvern office within our Conveyancing Department. The Conveyancing Department enjoys a high volume and variety of instructions from clients and business throughout England and Wales.

No day is the same in our Conveyancing Department and we are looking for someone who is proactive, strives to work in a fast-paced environment and is not afraid of a being an integral part of the business. Previous experience working as a fee earner in a Conveyancing Department is essential.

The role will include, but is not limited to, the following duties:

- Corresponding with clients via telephone, email and letters in a polite and timely manner

- Corresponding with third parties via telephone, email and letters in a polite and timely manner

- Meeting with clients and providing advice

- Overseeing ongoing Conveyancing matter and assisting with file management

- Working with other Conveyancers and Secretaries to ensure the progression of matters

- Managing and prioritising own workload

- Meeting required deadlines

- Reviewing instructions and title registers

- Reviewing documents provided by clients and third parties

- Producing and amending the relevant documents

- Complying with AML Regulations and completing ID checks

- Submitting documents to the Land Registry

- Dealing with requisitions when raised

- Assisting with the training and support of junior members of staff

- Raising invoices for work carried out

- Establishing relationships with third parties and helping the business grow

You will need:

The ability to work well within a team as well as independently. It is also important to have a keen eye for detail, a willingness to learn and to be an integral member of the team. You need to be confident communicating verbally and in writing with a variety of clients and businesses.

You will be expected to build a team and generate your own leads.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From 60,000.00 per year
