Sparky's is building a buzzing food hotspot in Bellshill -- and we need a

reliable, sober, no-nonsense Cook

to help us get there. We've had our share of letdowns, so we're being honest: if you're not serious about showing up and doing the job right, this isn't for you.

We're not chasing Michelin stars. We're chasing consistency, quality, and someone who takes pride in feeding a community that loves good grub and good vibes.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and serve pub-style meals with consistency and care Maintain a clean, safe, and organised kitchen Work closely with bar staff to ensure smooth service during busy weekends Monitor stock levels and communicate needs clearly Follow Sparky's standards for presentation and portioning Be ready to adapt menus or specials based on demand and feedback

Requirements

Must have current references

-- we will check them Proven experience in a kitchen (pub, cafe, or similar) Reliable transport or ability to get to Mossend on time Ability to work independently and stay calm under pressure No drama, no excuses -- just solid work ethic and team spirit Food hygiene certification preferred but not essential Flexibility in working extra hours as required occasionally A supportive, straight-talking team
