We are seeking a passionate and skilled individual to join our kitchen team as a cook. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in food preparation and cooking, The cook will be responsible for delivering high-quality meals while adhering to food safety standards and maintaining an organised kitchen.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menus.
Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils.
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during busy periods.
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and report any shortages to management.
Participate in the training of new kitchen staff as required.
Experience
Previous experience in a kitchen environment, preferably within a restaurant setting.
Good skills with a focus on food preparation and cooking techniques.
Familiarity with food safety practices and regulations.
Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent teamwork skills and a positive attitude towards serving customers.
