Role Overview
We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and customer-focused
Counter Assistant
to join our team. You will be the first point of contact for customers, providing excellent service at the pharmacy counter, assisting with over-the-counter (OTC) sales, handling prescriptions, and supporting the smooth running of the pharmacy.
Key Responsibilities
Greet and assist customers in a professional and friendly manner.
Handle sales of OTC medicines and other products in accordance with pharmacy guidelines.
Assist with processing and handing out prescriptions under the supervision of a pharmacist.
Provide accurate information about products and services, referring customers to the pharmacist when appropriate.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the counter and retail area.
Restock shelves and check for out-of-date products.
Handle cash and card transactions accurately.
Support the pharmacy team with administrative tasks as needed.
Uphold confidentiality and comply with all pharmacy regulations and procedures.
Skills & Experience
Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, or customer service role (preferred but not essential).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Friendly and approachable manner.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Willingness to learn about pharmacy products and procedures.
Basic IT and till operation skills.
