Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Counter Assistant to join our takeaway team. The ideal candidate will assist in various tasks to ensure smooth operations at the counter.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their orders
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Prepare and serve food items following established recipes and food safety guidelines
- Upsell additional items to customers where appropriate
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the counter area
- Handle cash transactions and operate the cash register
- Assist in basic food preparation tasks as needed
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is advantageous
- Knowledge of basic maths for handling transactions
- Familiarity with food safety practices
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: 12.00-13.00 per hour
Experience:
Food preparation: 1 year (preferred)
customer Service: 1 year (preferred)
