Overview

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Counter Assistant to join our team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, assisting with food preparation, and ensuring smooth operation at the counter. Duties

Serve customers at the counter with a welcoming attitude and prompt service Prepare and assemble food items according to company standards and safety guidelines Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments efficiently Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the counter area, including food safety practices Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and maximise sales opportunities Assist in restocking supplies and ensuring all food items are fresh and properly stored Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service Follow health and safety regulations diligently, including food safety standards Support kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks when required

Qualifications

Previous experience in a catering or food service environment is preferred but not essential Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures Experience in serving customers with professionalism and courtesy Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently Excellent time management skills to ensure prompt service during busy periods Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance sales performance
