Counter Assistant

Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a dedicated Counter Assistant to join our team at our takeaway in northwich, proving excellent customer service ensuring smooth service flow.
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers warmly as they approach the counter
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently in person and over the phone
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the counter area
- Support kitchen staff with food preparation when needed
- Manage time effectively to handle multiple tasks during peak hours
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a takeaway or similar fast-paced environment is advantageous
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions and calculating change
- Knowledge of culinary terms and food preparation techniques is beneficial
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented setting
- Strong communication skills to interact with customers and colleagues effectively
- Excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks efficiently
- Understanding of food safety regulations and practices
