Overview

We are seeking a reliable and efficient Courier Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the timely delivery of goods and packages, ensuring that all items are handled with care and delivered safely to their destinations. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to manage time effectively while navigating various routes.

Duties

Operate a van or similar vehicle to transport goods and packages to designated locations. Load and unload items, ensuring that heavy lifting is performed safely and efficiently. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including tracking information and delivery confirmations. Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving. Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety and reliability before each journey. Assist in warehouse duties as needed, including sorting and organising packages for delivery.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred. A valid driver's licence with a clean driving record is essential. Experience in commercial driving is advantageous. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job. Strong communication skills to interact with clients and colleagues effectively. Familiarity with local roads and routes is beneficial. A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and time management.
