We are seeking a reliable and professional self employed Courier Driver to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods efficiently and safely across designated routes, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries. Duties

Safely operate company vehicles, including vans and lorries, to deliver parcels and goods to clients and customers. Plan delivery routes to optimise efficiency and minimise delays. Load and unload items, often requiring heavy lifting, ensuring items are secure during transit. Verify delivery details and obtain necessary signatures or proof of delivery. Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pick-ups using company systems. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules or issues. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs promptly. Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during deliveries.

Skills

Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar courier role. Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record. Experience with commercial driving vehicles such as vans or lorries. Strong organisational skills to plan efficient routes and manage schedules effectively. Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients and team members. Ability to perform heavy lifting when handling parcels or goods. Prior warehouse experience is advantageous for loading/unloading tasks. Good knowledge of local roads, traffic regulations, and safety procedures.
