Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Courier Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the timely and efficient delivery of goods to various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service, as well as the ability to manage time effectively and navigate various routes. The Courier Driver will play a key role in ensuring that our clients receive their deliveries promptly and in excellent condition.

Duties

Safely operate a delivery vehicle, ensuring compliance with all traffic regulations and company policies. Load and unload goods, performing heavy lifting as necessary while maintaining safety protocols. Plan and follow efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries. Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding delivery status and any potential issues. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including documentation of any discrepancies or damages. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs to management. Assist with warehouse duties when required, including inventory management and organisation.

Skills

Previous experience as a delivery driver is essential, with a proven track record of reliability and punctuality. A valid driving licence suitable for the type of vehicle being operated is required; experience driving larger vehicles is advantageous. Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and best practices is preferred. Strong communication skills to interact professionally with clients and colleagues. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently. Previous warehouse experience is beneficial, particularly in relation to logistics and inventory management. Excellent time management skills to ensure all deliveries are completed within scheduled timeframes.
