We are seeking a reliable and motivated Courier Driver to join our team you must be 25 or over and have had your licence for 2+ years to use one of our vehicles. You can use a vehicle of your own if you have one. The ideal candidate would have access to their own van but one can be provided at a weekly rental if needed and must be able to commit to 6 days per week. They will be responsible for the timely and safe delivery of goods to various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service, effective communication skills, and the ability to handle heavy lifting as needed. The Courier Driver will ensure that all deliveries are completed efficiently while adhering to all guidelines and road safety regulations. Pay rate is between 100 to 250 per day paid on a monthly basis. This is dependant on how many parcel drops are made and the rate for the round. For example, if 150 parcels are taken and delivered/ collected at a rate of 80p per parcel you would make 120 for that day.
Duties
Safely deliver packages and documents to designated locations.
Load and unload goods, ensuring that all items are secured properly for transport.
Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery times and any potential delays.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including tracking information and customer signatures.
Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.
Sorting and organising packages for dispatch
Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.
Experience
Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred.
Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safe driving practices is essential.
Experience in heavy lifting is advantageous.
Strong communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet delivery schedules.
