Our client HM Courts & Tribunals Service (HMCTS) is an agency of the Ministry of Justice. HMCTS provides administrative support for the legal system across England and Wales, ensuring justice works for everyone.

From some of the most vulnerable people in our society, to families in crisis, claimants and commercial businesses - HMCTS has a responsibility to administer a justice system that is accessible to everyone and operates efficiently.Position: Full time Temporary Court UsherContract: 3 months with the possibility of extendingWorking Hours: 37 per week Mon-Fri with occasional SaturdaysHourly Rate: xc2xa312.21:We are currently seeking an organised, motivated Court Usher to be based in Burnley with the occasional travel to Blackburn Training will be provided for the successful applicant. Duties will include but not be limited to:

• Collecting and delivering files and bundles to the judiciary and clerks ensuring they have the necessary papers
• Providing support to colleagues & judiciary outside of court / hearing times
• Navigating court hearings vis video link, onsite and remotely
• Preparing rooms for hearings, tribunals, trials, meetings and clearing the court / hearing room down at the end of the day etc.
• Arranging and supporting court hearings
• Assisting the general public when attending hearings.
• General administrative duties including filing, printing and data entry
• Data input, typing, post incoming and outgoing, filing, general office duties.

Requirements:

• Strong customer service skills and confident dealing with the general public
• Strong administrative skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel and Teams
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
