Registered Manager - Elderly Residential Care (CQC)

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Manager to lead our elderly residential care home in Oxford. This service supports older people with a range of needs, including dementia and complex health conditions.
This is an excellent opportunity for an established manager or a strong deputy ready to step into a leadership role.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the daily operations of the care home and staff team
Ensure compliance with CQC regulations and the Health and Social Care Act 2008
Deliver high-quality, person-centred care
Oversee care planning, risk assessments, medication management, and safeguarding
Recruit, train, supervise, and develop staff
Manage budgets, rotas, and resources effectively
Build strong relationships with residents, families, and health professionals
Prepare for and lead CQC inspections, aiming for a "Good" rating or above
Implement systems for quality assurance and continuous improvement
Qualifications & Experience:
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care (or working towards)
Minimum 2 years' management experience in a residential or nursing home
Strong knowledge of CQC standards, safeguarding, and dementia care
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one)
Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
