Pay rate: 30.76

Adult Learning Wales has a fantastic opportunity for highly skilled, qualified tutors to deliver craft courses to learners across the Swansea and Neath Port Talbot areas. You will plan, develop, deliver, evaluate and assess courses and learning programmes in accordance with learner needs and Adult Learning Wales's Quality Procedures, in support of delivering high quality learning.

The Tutor role is a diverse, hands on role where you will be working independently and also with the regional team.

You will have responsibility for (but not exhaustive to):

-

Planning and preparing courses

- preparing lesson plans and schemes of work. Selecting learning materials and a range of learning methods to meet the learner's needs.

Supporting learners

- Assessing learners' previous learning experiences and achievements, providing them with appropriate advice and guidance, and ensuring learners are aware of their progression routes.

General

- undertake administrative tasks in line with regulations for the funding of Adult Learning Wales. Attend relevant tutor meetings, quality briefings and relevant accreditation / moderation meetings.

We are looking for applicants who are able to deliver one or more of the following courses:

Sewing/Garment Making/Sewing for the Home/Introduction to Sewing/Sewing for Pets/Dress in a day/Taster Sessions

Knitting for Beginners/Knitting - Intermediate Skills/Advanced Knitting Skills

Crochet for Beginners/Intermediate/Advanced

Flower Arranging/Floral Art/Beginners/Intermediate/Advanced

Needle Felting for Beginners/Intermediate/Advanced

Felt Making for Beginners/Intermediate/Advanced

Weaving/Painting and Drawing/Clothes Design/Upcycling/Jewellery Making
