This role supports the delivery of high-quality communications through a range of channels and in line with our Communications strategy.


The Creative Services team is responsible for the delivery of the following content and services for internal and external audiences:


Video content Photography Graphic design Internal and external communication campaigns Event support

The role holder will provide a first-class communications service to our colleagues and should be comfortable dealing with senior managers and colleagues at all levels of the organisation. Working in a fast-moving team, the role holder will be able to prioritise and manage several competing priorities, while delivering day-to-day tasks.


The role holder will primarily focus on utilising design skills to create communications content for digital and/or print channels. They will have a solid foundation in graphic design principles and a good understanding of how to apply brand guidelines, communications principles and tone of voice.


The role holder will need to be able to work both alone and as part of a team, using their own initiative and adopting a proactive approach to delivering workload. They will be required to support the wider creative services team with photography, videography and event support at times, where capacity allows.


This is a hybrid role, but the role holder must be flexible to ensure they available for in-person filming, photography and event support as required.


Key Responsibilities


Coordinate and deliver a range of engaging and informative communications across a range of channels to connect intended audience and drive understanding through engaging content Support the delivery of the Communications strategy Support the delivery of face to face and virtual channels including events and conferences Apply brand guidelines, communications principles and tone of voice appropriately across all relevant channels Ensure all content is appropriate for audience and manage stakeholder expectations accordingly Keep the Communications Strategic plan updated Publish content to appropriate channels and ensure it is kept up-to-date and relevant Measure the effectiveness and success of communications activity and challenge and learn lessons from analysis of the data Be an ambassador for communications both in terms of team reputation and support provision / standard of communications produced Use design skills to create communications content for digital and/or print channels Use photography / videography and editing skills to produce engaging content in line with agreed business narrative

Key Skills Required


Design skills and proven experience of creating designs for digital and print , including understanding of graphic design principles and proficient in use of Adobe creative suite (including but not limited to Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign) Ability to apply brand guidelines, communications principles and tone of voice appropriately to design content Solid verbal and written communications skills Experience of dealing with and managing stakeholders at all levels Ability to translate complex subject matter into accessible and engaging communications Proven experience of working in a communications environment Effective time management skills - ability to work on multiple priorities, manage competing deadlines and deliver projects from initiation to completion with an excellent eye for detail Ability to apply discretion, tact and confidentiality as appropriate Photography skills Videography and editing competence and proficient in use of Adobe creative suite (including Premier Pro and After Effects)
