Job Title Credit Risk Analyst

Position Description Overview

Fiserv is looking for a KYC Analyst who can join our team of analysts undertaking KYC activities to mitigate risks related to Money Laundering/Terrorist Financing, Fraud, Sanctions, and other Financial Crime risks.

The team are responsible for execution of all customer onboarding for our UK Business using cutting edge systems and expertise to mitigate any risk, whilst adhering to regulatory and card scheme requirements and regulations.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a full understanding of the Anti-Money Laundering and KYC Policy, Procedures and Guidelines and the ability to adapt their requirements in your day-by-day
• Use own initiative to deal with unusual situations, complex and challenging cases and maintain a constructive approach throughout working within a framework by making informed decisions.
• Process complex / unusual entity structures and the ability to assess them.
• Performing electronic checks to collect and verify client identity, reviewing publicly available sources of information to develop a thorough understanding of the clients\xe2\x80\x99 activities, the nature of the proposed business and its Money Laundering risks
• To identify beneficial owners and where appropriate, verify their identity.
• Be prepared to understand and use Simplified customer due diligence, Enhanced customer due diligence or Standard customer due diligence where appropriate and escalate where necessary.
• Full understanding of high-risk countries and the associated internal processes for risk rating and escalation
• Ability to understand the risks of dealing with politically exposed persons (PEP\'s) and regulatory expectations around dealing with PEP\xe2\x80\x99s.
• Ensure Sanctions databases are updated and maintained with up-to-date information
• Engaging with other departments and 3rd parties to ensure accurate and timely boarding.
• Manage and understand reputational risk that may arise from merchant activity.
• Help to support team with queries and escalations.
• Help with workload management and distribution

Candidate Requirements

• Be self-motivated; someone who works on their own initiative to self-managed deadlines and supports colleagues in their work, maintaining professionalism and confidence.
• Strong ability to analyse information logically, make informed judgements and be able to present them confidently.
• Experience in an administrative role and appreciation of the needs of a sales environment
• Excellent telephone handling skills with the ability to communicate clearly and confidently at all levels.
• The ability to interact effectively and positively with all stakeholders, partners, and vendors and clients.
• Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of card scheme rules & regulations
• PC Proficiency, including MS Office applications.
