Purpose Of the Role:
To manage the administration of European and UK road customer service operations in line with customer requests and network standards. To provide administration in a cost effective and efficient manner. Maximising profit whilst promoting quality and service.
Key Responsibilities:
Administration of Import, Export and UK shipments using the Dachser IT systems.
Maintain quality standards and excellent customer service
To produce identified Key Performance Indicators for the Outbound customer service activity
To liaise with other departments in Northampton and the UK as well as other branches in the network ensuring good working relations
To produce and administer quality and production control reports
Facilitating final checks of customs shipments on internal customs systems
To communicate and co-ordinate with internal departments to ensure that the agreed service levels are met
To proactively inform the customer of any issues or deviations to the shipment process via our event management system and other communication channels
To record accurately all actions taken so that they can be reviewed and analysed
Providing supporting documentation to clients on request
The Ideal candidate will have:
Proven track record in delivering excellent customer service, with strong communication skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to resolve queries efficiently while maintaining positive relationships with customers and colleagues.
Basic knowledge of customs processes and regulations (desirable), including an understanding of import/export procedures and relevant documentation requirements. Eager to build on this foundation to ensure compliance and support efficient logistics operations.
Highly organised with strong time management skills, capable of handling multiple tasks, prioritising effectively, and maintaining accuracy and attention to detail in a busy working environment.
IT literate, with confident use of Microsoft Office applications (including Excel, Word, and Outlook) and the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software systems and digital tools.
