Overview



Furniture Warehouse is a rapidly expanding furniture retailer with 8 stores across the East Midlands, specialising in high quality, low cost furniture and accessories for every room in the home.
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Service Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in leading the Customer Service Team and ensuring smooth operations by providing exceptional customer service and administrative management. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to analyse information effectively. It's a hands on management role - so the successful candidate will be expected to get stuck in to the day-to-day work of the team.

Based at our Peterborough Store, where our offices are also based.

Responsibilities



Manage the workload of the Customer Service Team Ensure that all tasks are completed in a timely manner - always putting the needs of the customer first. Answer incoming customer inquiries via phone and email, ensuring a professional and courteous response at all times. Maintain accurate data entry of customer information and service requests into the system. Liaise with Transport and Warehouse Teams to provide solutions to issues. Communicate effectively with team members to ensure seamless service delivery. Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling deliveries and managing records. Provide a point of escalation in resolving customer complaints or issues promptly and efficiently. proactively look to develop service procedures to improve overall efficiency.

Requirements



Proven experience in a management position within a customer service environment. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers and colleagues. Proficiency in data entry with excellent attention to detail. Demonstrated phone etiquette with a professional approach to customer interactions. Ability to analyse information quickly and make informed decisions based on customer needs. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
