Responsible for providing nutritional solutions and advice to customers based in Northern Ireland for ruminant and specifically Dairy nutrition.
Lead knowledge development and information delivery within the team and to customers
Grow and develop existing and new business, contributing towards the success of the ruminant sector.
Success will be demonstrated by the following:
Provision of innovative nutritional solutions & and management advice
Service of existing customers with technical expertise.
Innovation of new products and research trial work
Growth of existing accounts and expansion into new accounts
Core Responsibilities:
Assisting with the development of our strategy for growth and setting of regional development plans
Monitoring, analysing and adapting to commercial and legislative changes in market requirements
Provision of innovative nutritional solutions & management advice to customers
Delivery of sales and profit targets
Key account management to ensure customer satisfaction
Development of strong business relationships with colleagues and existing and potential customers
Coordinating and working collaboratively with internal teams to support Research & Development and New Product Development
To run diet formulations and costing for customers and assisting colleagues in these areas.
To train customer sales staff and provide presentations to management, technical and salespeople.
Existing customer and potential customer visits when required.
Experience and Skill Set:
Bachelor degree in Animal Science, Agricultural Science or Technology, or related degree and proven track record of profitable sales success with at least 5 years' experience OR, minimum 5 years' equivalent experience in a similar role
A strong background in Ruminant nutrition, product and proposition business development
Excellent commercial acumen and business skills
Experience in the animal feed industry
Keeps Up-do-date with market changes Awareness of impact of market changes on the company and customer base
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Ability to work on own initiative but also to work collaboratively with others
Solution orientated.
Ability to work flexibly and be adaptable in complex situations
Valid driving licence
Willingness to travel when required
Computer literacy including all Microsoft office programmes
