Job Description

We're looking for a Data Analyst to enhance our Applications team.



Nexteq is a global leader in sector-specific technology manufacturing with around 210 staff and offices in Europe, North America and Asia.



Substantial growth both prior to and during the pandemic has increased the demand for BI and analytics to improve strategic and operational decision making. This has led to a review of the global IT team structure and the creation of several new roles.



In 2024, with a change in management, we began a project to align both brands within the business - Quixant and Densitron - in their processes, adopted applications and data repositories, in order to achieve consolidated reports across the business.


As a Data Analyst, this role would suit someone who has an analytical mindset and adequate commercial experience in data analysis and reporting. A degree in Mathematics or Engineering Sciences is desirable but not essential, provided you have experience in report writing within the technology manufacturing industry.



You will be working alongside the IT Applications team and liaise with all other departments within the business e.g. Finance, Operations, Sales, supporting them with regular reporting needs.

Key responsibilities



Liaise with various internal stakeholders, within a defined framework, to identify requirements and deliver reports based on those needs. Manage and manipulate large quantities of data from multiple sources and present these in the stakeholders' preferred format. Work with data owners and stewards within the business to ensure continuous improvement of data quality through the creation and management of dashboards. Assist colleagues in the creation and testing of analytics applications and reports to be presented via the corporate intranet. Extract, transform, load and manipulate data as needed. Work closely with Applications team to support delivery of information via various means. Provide 1st line support to the business as part of the applications team.

Qualifications and experience



Minimum of 4 years' experience in a role providing reporting and analytics. Experience in the technology manufacturing industry (good to have) Relevant computer science / data science or maths degree (good to have)

Knowledge and Skills




Essential:


Relational database languages (SQL) Experience with Microsoft Power BI or similar reporting tool Highly numerate and analytical Advanced level Excel skills Excellent attention to detail Complex problem solving - Out of the box thinking Strong verbal and written communication skills. Confidence articulating reports to senior stakeholders Resourcefulness - ability to work as part of a team or unattended to find information and ask questions to gain the required data


Desirable:


Exposure to SAP Business One Exposure to Atlassian Jira / Confluence products. Programming skills General experience in a commercial IT environment * Foreign language skills, especially Mandarin, Italian, Japanese
