Position Overview
We are seeking a driven, professional, and experienced
Nursery Manager
to take a leadership role across our growing group. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, leading and developing staff, ensuring compliance with CIW and safeguarding standards, and maintaining excellence across our four settings.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the day-to-day operations of one setting, while supporting consistent standards across all sites.
Provide strong leadership, guidance, and motivation to the nursery team.
Ensure full compliance with CIW regulations, safeguarding, and health and safety requirements.
Develop and monitor high-quality, child-centred learning and care provision.
Oversee record-keeping, audits, risk assessments, and administrative tasks.
Build and maintain excellent relationships with children, parents, carers, and professionals.
Support staff training, performance management, and professional development.
Contribute to recruitment, induction, and ongoing mentoring of new team members.
Collaborate with other managers across our group to share best practices and drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications and Experience
Level 5 qualification in CCLD or equivalent
(required)
Level 3 Childcare qualification
(minimum requirement)
Minimum of 2 years' experience in a leadership or senior supervisory role within early years education.
Strong understanding of early years frameworks, CIW standards, and safeguarding protocols.
Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
Confident decision-maker and problem-solver with a child-first approach.
Ability to lead by example and foster a collaborative, respectful team culture.
