Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Nursery Manager to oversee the daily operations of our nursery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children. As the Nursery Manager, you will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing environment that promotes the development and well-being of all children in our care. You will lead a team of childcare professionals, ensuring that high standards of care and education are maintained.

Duties

Manage the overall operations of the nursery, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices in childcare. Develop and implement educational programmes that cater to the developmental needs of children aged 0-5 years. Supervise and support nursery staff, providing guidance and training to enhance their skills and professional development. Foster positive relationships with parents and caregivers, maintaining open lines of communication regarding their children's progress and well-being. Ensure that the nursery environment is safe, clean, and conducive to learning through regular inspections and maintenance. Monitor children's development through observations and assessments, adapting programmes as necessary to meet individual needs. Maintain accurate records related to children's attendance, health, and developmental milestones.

Skills

Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Strong leadership abilities with experience in managing a team within a childcare setting. In-depth knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices. Previous experience working with children in a nursery or similar environment is essential. Ability to effectively manage time and prioritise tasks in a busy nursery setting. A valid driving licence is preferred for potential off-site activities or training sessions. A nurturing attitude towards children with a commitment to their safety and development.
