About The Role

Come and join our newly opening Day-care setting in the heart of Wallingford, opening in September 2026.

We are seeking to appoint an experienced EYFS Manager to set up, register and manage our Brand New Three Bears Childcare setting.

As the Day-care Manager you will play a crucial role in promoting high standards within our setting and supporting staff in their daily duties, providing guidance and mentorship to foster professional growth.

We are looking for an experienced and innovative practitioner to lead our nursery for children from 0-7. We are a holistic and naturalistic setting working with the fundamentals of early year childcare knowledge to offer the strongest developmental start for children in a home-from-home setting.

As Day-care Manager you will have a strong understanding of child development for these ages and will lead with passion and dedication to ensure all our children grow educationally and thrive socially and emotionally. The successful candidate will be an experienced leader who will work alongside staff to ensure we give the highest level of care and support to our children.

What you will need to succeed:

A minimum of at least 2 years' experience leading or managing in an Early Year's setting. Excellent knowledge of the Early Years curriculum and proven track record of planning, tracking and monitoring children's learning and developmental milestones. Experience of line management, rotas and managing budgets effectively. Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Child Care and Education or equivalent. English & Maths GCSE Grade 4/C or above/or equivalent. Nurturing nature with a passion to make a difference in young children's' care and education. Well-developed interpersonal skills to be able to relate to a wide range of people including children, staff, parents and external professionals.
