Daytime Support Workers

Ofsted-registered therapeutic children's residential home
in Romford.
This role is perfect for someone who wants to support children and young people in a

bank contract

part-time or full-time employment
as the service grows.

Purpose-Led, Meaningful Role
Support young people aged 10-17 with their daily routines, emotional wellbeing, education, and personal growth, helping them develop confidence and independence.
Therapeutic, Supportive Environment
You'll receive full induction, therapeutic training and ongoing development to ensure best practice in trauma-informed residential childcare.
Key Responsibilities
As a
Daytime Residential Support Worker
, you will:
Provide emotional and practical support to children and young people
Build consistent, professional and trusting relationships
Support daily routines including meals, activities, appointments and education
Encourage independence and teach essential life skills
Maintain safeguarding standards and implement behaviour and risk management strategies
Keep accurate, Ofsted-compliant notes, reports and observations
Work collaboratively with colleagues, families and professionals to ensure continuity of care
Promote inclusion and social development in the home and community
What We're Looking For
Essential:
Experience working with children or young people (in residential care, education, youth work or social care)
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to remain calm, consistent and resilient in challenging situations
Understanding of safeguarding, boundaries and professional standards
Flexibility to work day shifts, including some weekends
Desirable:
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
First Aid training
Experience supporting children with emotional or behavioural needs
Full UK driving licence
