Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Deli Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while preparing and serving a variety of deli products. You will play a crucial part in ensuring that our customers have a positive experience by offering high-quality food and assistance in their selections.

Duties

Prepare and serve deli items, including meats, cheeses, salads, and sandwiches, ensuring high standards of food safety and hygiene. Assist customers with their orders, providing recommendations and upselling additional items to enhance their experience. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the deli area, including the display cases and preparation surfaces. Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management to ensure availability of products. Follow all health and safety regulations related to food preparation and handling. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours.

Skills

Previous experience in a restaurant or culinary environment is advantageous. Strong upselling skills to maximise customer satisfaction and sales. Excellent time management abilities to handle multiple tasks efficiently. Knowledge of food safety practices to maintain a clean and safe working environment. Basic maths skills for handling transactions and managing stock levels effectively. A willingness to help customers with their needs and provide outstanding service. Culinary skills related to food preparation are beneficial for this role.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 11.85-12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 40 per week
