Delivery Supervisor

to join Sovini Trade Supplies at The Sovini Group.

As a Delivery Supervisor, you will be expected to:


IOSH or equivalent, Full CPC National Road Haulage, HGV 2 (inc Driver CPC), ADR awareness, Computer skills (MS, Excel, Word), experience of Lean Processing. Strong financial/operational skills with track record of route planning productivity and service level improvements The ability to create, develop and promote a culture within the business that focuses on business efficiency and compliance with company policies and objectives. Understanding of the needs to operate in a compliant manner whilst at the same time competing in a challenging environment High level of collaboration skills, regularly liaising with key stakeholders in other departments of the business, including other branches of Sovini Trade Supplies to ensure smooth operations and overcoming collective challenges, to exceed customers' expectations and uphold the company's high customer reputation. The ability to ensure that the performance of Delivery Team is effectively operating, ensuring any underperformance is managed and excellence is recognised. Able to communicate effectively (verbal, written, digital), chair meetings and present to team and management. Use of active listening and provision of constructive feedback Experience in dealing with contingency processes for absence, unforeseen circumstances and vehicle breakdowns. Understanding of the importance in the team meeting appraisal targets/audit's and support the delivery and achievement of overall business objectives. Able to build a high-performing team by supporting and developing individuals and motivating them to achieve. Able to set operational and personal goals and objectives and monitor progress, providing clear guidance and feedback. Commit to equality and diversity and to promote non-discriminatory practices in all aspects of work undertaken. Adhere with the Health and Safety at Work Act to take reasonable care of own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by their acts and omissions.



To be successful in a

Delivery Supervisor role, the skills you will need

:


UK driver's License IOSH or equivalent, Full CPC National Road Haulage, HGV 2 (including Driver CPC), ADR awareness. Excellent oral and written communication skills Ability to always provide excellent customer service, ensuring "Putting the customer's needs first" is always upheld and at the forefront of our business offering. Ability to utilise Microsoft office programmes to a high standard, especially MS Excel/MS Office/MS Teams. Experience and knowledge of transport legislation and operator's licence compliance. Experience of managing a team and competent in coaching/mentoring staff, motivating the team and dealing with performance issues when required. Ability to prioritise and manage workload to meet strict deadlines. Self-motivated with enthusiasm, commitment and drive and ability to work under pressure and still produce a high standard of work. Ability to work as a member of a fast-paced team. Ability to be flexible, multi-skilled and willing to go the extra-mile. Excellent communication skills, able to communicate across multiple channels including Microsoft Teams, Face to Face and Email.
