Marketing, Commerce & Product:
We help businesses create and run successful marketing campaigns, online stores, and digital products. This involves using advertising, branding, content creation, social media, and other tools to reach customers and build relationships. We also use artificial intelligence (AI) and data to improve our clients' marketing efforts.
Customer Strategy & Design:
We help businesses understand their customers better and create strategies to improve their experiences. We use design thinking to solve problems and create innovative solutions. Our goal is to make businesses more profitable and sustainable by improving the lives of their customers.
Sales & Service:
We help businesses improve their sales and customer service processes. We create solutions that make it easier for customers to buy products and get help when they need it. Our aim is to make every interaction with a customer a positive one.
Digital Foundry & Operations:
We help businesses build and run the technology that powers their customer experiences. This includes setting up and managing the systems and processes that support marketing, commerce, sales, and service. We work with clients to ensure their technology is working efficiently and effectively.

What skills and academic qualifications do I need?
This programme is for university students who are doing well academically and want to test their skills in the real world.
We do have some minimum requirements for you to meet. And of course, you'll need more than good grades to make the most of your placement. If you're fascinated by business and can't wait to get stuck into complex projects that make a difference, you'll fit right in.
You need to be on track to achieve a predicted degree classification of 2:1 or above in any discipline and you must be in the penultimate year of your course. Your degree course must support a placement year in industry.
Duration of programme: 12 months
No prior coding/configuration experience is required, however a broad interest in technology/digital tools and how they work is advised.
What kind of work will I do?
The kind of work you will do will differ depending on the area.
Tasks might include:
Helping to deliver projects for our clients, being a valuable member of the team from day one, collaborating with diverse and talented team members to help solve problems, improve performance and generate value for clients
Every project is different, but some examples of responsibilities include:
+ Creating materials for workshops, communications, project plans and progress reporting.
+ Participating in project workshops and meetings alongside our clients - contributing to discussions, taking actions and minutes
+ Developing and maintaining strong client relationships by providing exceptional service, understanding their needs and consistently exceeding their expectations with innovative solutions.
+ Providing expert advice and assistance to our clients, tailored to their needs.
You will deliver tangible, positive changes for public, private, and financial service organisations.
You will learn new project management methods in a collaborative, team environment.
Where will I work?
At Deloitte we recognise how important face-to-face interaction is for your development in a new role. We also understand that our people need flexibility, which is why we operate a hybrid system, with a combination of office and home working. If you're in a client-facing role, you might be expected to attend client sites on certain days, while your meetings will be a mix of online and in-person events. Please note your final assessment and induction will also be in-person, to give you the opportunity to network and build relationships.

How will I develop?
As an industrial placement student, you will get the following opportunities:
Our dedicated Consulting Early Experience team support you from your first day.
You will attend our amazing Analyst Induction Programme (AIP) alongside Graduate and BrightStart new joiners to learn about our company, culture and how we work - this is bespoke to our Consulting business.
+ You'll get an opportunity to practice the key skills you'll need on client projects. AIP is 5 days long and includes engaging talks, group activities and immersive simulation challenges.
+ You'll receive training in backend and frontend technologies and get practical experience through our developer boot camp.
+ You'll meet many team members from your business area, including your People Leader and Resource Manager, and make a few friends along the way.
Following AIP you move into more specific business area training for a few more weeks - all exciting and very relevant to your future client/project engagements.
You will have the opportunity to network with colleagues at all levels of seniority and have access to lunch and learns, mentors and more!
Ahead of joining the firm in September, will be invited to an Industrial Placement specific meet and greet in the office to start your integration to the firm.
Upon being offered a role, you will be assigned a buddy who has previously completed an IP year. They will be your informal point of contact for any queries, and to offer insight and guidance ahead of joining.
