Dementia Day Club Support Worker Holiday/sick Cover

Job Description

We are looking for Dementia support workers to assist in the delivery of our day club groups for clients with dementia, through personalised and meaningful activities.

We are looking for a casual who has great flexibility to cover shifts. You would be offered a variety of hours depending on the needs of the business so we are looking for someone who is happy with approximately 0-18 hours. We currently run day clubs Mon, Wed & Thurs with additional club locations opening in the future.



We will be conducting interviews on a rolling basis for suitable applicants.

MUST BE AVAILABLE MONDAY, WEDNESDAY, THURSDAY

Do you have a healthcare background or transferrable skills & willingness to work with vulnerable adults living with Dementia?

Full specialist dementia training will be provided Experience in a care background is essential but your biggest asset will be your values. Ideal:



Driver's Licence & Own Vehicle Flexible with availability (Mon to Fri work only) Current Enhanced DBS for Vulnerable Adults
Weekday work only, approx hours - 9:45am-4:15pm but this can vary depending on needs of the business. Casual/Variable hours to cover any shifts, including holiday & sick cover so ideally you have the flexibility to come in at short notice.

Oldland Common/Bristol location on Monday & Thursday.

Batheaston Day Clubs

on Wednesdays

Duties include but are not limited to:



Participating, co-planning, delivering & assisting in the running of the day club activities Ensuring the health and safety of vulnerable clients and colleagues, including personal care Setting up and packing away day club activities, tables & resources at the start & conclusion of shifts Assist in food preparation, refreshments and service clean up Read care plans, individual reports & maintain appropriate record keeping
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From 12.35 per hour

Expected hours: 1 - 20 per week

Work Location: In person
