PM ShiftAbout The Role:
Join Buy It Direct as a Depot Supervisor at our Crawley depot. This hands-on role will see you managing daily operations while supporting your team with loading and unloading, ensuring vehicles are loaded correctly and safely. You'll also drive high-quality service and operational excellence across the region.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage on-time, in-full (OTIF) performance and re-deliveries. Lead, coach, and support your team. Support loading/unloading processes and ensure vehicles are loaded safely and correctly. Handle return-to-work assessments and absence reviews. Work with HR on compliance, including investigations, PDPs, and disciplinary actions. Oversee holidays, staffing, inductions, and training. Manage timesheets, liaise with agencies, and maintain SOPs. Investigate customer complaints and oversee site maintenance. Implement operational improvements, reduce costs, and maintain Health and Safety standards.
Essential Skills:
Experience in transport/logistics and knowledge of driver legislation. Strong understanding of compliance and attention to detail. Ability to build positive relationships and work under pressure. Solutions-driven with a focus on cost and service KPIs. Excellent communication and numerical skills.
