As Deputy Manager, the post holder will assist the Registered Manager in the day-to-day functions of the home and care programmes for young people.

The role of the Deputy Manager is an important one within Residential Childcare Community Ltd and as such provides an excellent opportunity for professional development within the company. We invest heavily in staff development and are committed to recruiting future Shift Leaders, Deputy Managers and Registered Managers wherever possible from within our own ranks.

A Deputy Manager has the same job description as a Senior Residential Care Worker but is expected to fulfill his/her responsibility to a higher standard commensurate with his/her greater knowledge and experience. In addition, a Deputy Manager may well be delegated additional tasks by his/her line manager not specified in this job description. The difference between the two posts is also reflected in the salary structure.

The core purpose of the role of the Deputy Manager is to: Assist the Staff, Shift Leaders, and Registered Manager in providing an emotionally secure, consistent, warm, supportive and caring environment for the young people and to encourage their social, physical, emotional, intellectual and moral development so that they may realise their own potential. Furthermore, to work to high professional standards of care, control and supervision.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 15.41-16.33 per hour
