We're looking for a compassionate and confident
Deputy Manager
to help lead one of our therapeutic children's homes in Walsall. If you're experienced in residential childcare and ready to support both young people and staff -- this is your chance to take that next step.
As Deputy, you'll work hand-in-hand with the Home Manager, provide guidance to staff, lead by example, and ensure consistent, high-quality care for young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties.
What You'll Be Doing:
Leading shifts and supervising the care team
Supporting young people with daily life, education, behaviour, and emotional regulation
Managing rotas, training, appraisals, and team development
Carrying out audits, reports, and safeguarding reviews
Acting as the home lead in the Manager's absence
Promoting therapeutic approaches (PACE model) in daily practice
Communicating with families, social workers, and professionals
What You'll Need:
Experience in residential childcare (Deputy/Senior level preferred)
Experience working with EBD, trauma, or SEN
Level 3/4 Health & Social Care (required)
Level 5 (desirable) or willingness to complete
Full UK driving licence
Confident in managing people, planning rotas, and leading safely
