Deputy Manager - Children's Residential Home (EBD)

Location: Sheffield, South Yorkshire

Full-time | Permanent

35,000 - 45,000 DOE

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Deputy Manager to join our warm and welcoming children's home, supporting young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD). As a Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day leadership of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care and compliance.

Due to a recent change in our leadership structure, there may be a short-term requirement to step into an interim leadership capacity until a new Registered Manager is in post. You will be fully supported during this time by the senior leadership team, with any additional responsibilities recognised.

Your Role

Assist the Registered Manager in the daily operations of the home Lead and support a team of Residential Support Workers Maintain excellent safeguarding and care standards Conduct supervisions, oversee care planning, and help prepare for Ofsted inspections Step up when needed to ensure continuity and consistency in care delivery

Requirements

NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare (Level 5 preferred or willing to work towards) At least 2 years' experience in the past 5 years in a residential childcare setting Strong understanding of safeguarding, legislation, and Ofsted frameworks Leadership or senior care experience Resilient, committed, and driven to make a difference
