Enhanced Steps Supported Services (ESSS) is excited to offer a rewarding opportunity for an experienced and passionate Deputy Manager to join our team in launching a brand-new Children's Residential Home based in Kent and Medway and this role is pivotal to the future growth and impact of our provision.

Based in one of our modern, well-equipped residential homes, you will be working with children and young people with Emotional, and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). The ideal candidate will be dedicated to nurturing each young person's potential, building their confidence and independence as they prepare for adulthood.

About the Role:

As Deputy Manager, you will support the Registered Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the home. You'll provide leadership, guidance, and supervision to the staff team, ensuring the highest standards of care and compliance are consistently maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure the delivery of high-quality emotional and physical care in a safe, nurturing, and structured environment.

Support the Registered Manager in leading staff and managing resources to achieve outstanding care standards.

Promote a culture of continuous improvement aligned with Children's Home

Promote a culture of continuous improvement aligned with Children's Home Regulations and OFSTED benchmarks

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory frameworks and ensure compliance is embedded throughout the service

Facilitate reflective supervision and staff development, promoting strong teamwork and communication

Essential Requirements:

Previous experience in a supervisory role within a children's residential setting

A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)

Strong understanding of Ofsted inspection frameworks and regulatory requirements

Proven ability to lead, motivate and support a team to deliver quality outcomes

Excellent organisational and communication skills

Desirable:

Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management (or working towards)

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: 30,924.00-33,845.00 per year
