Job Summary
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Early Years Educator to join our team in a Deputy Manager role. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine enthusiasm for supporting young children's learning and development.
As Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for our children. Strong leadership, excellent communication, and a positive attitude are essential to supporting daily operations and maintaining strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and deliver engaging educational programmes that promote children's social, emotional, and cognitive development.
Communicate regularly and effectively with parents about their child's progress and well-being.
Support the smooth running of daily activities, ensuring a structured yet flexible learning environment.
Build positive relationships with children, encouraging their curiosity, confidence, and creativity.
Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment in line with health and safety standards.
Observe and assess children's development, sharing feedback and supporting next steps in learning.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a supportive, inclusive, and high-quality educational setting.
Take part in ongoing professional development to stay up to date with best practices in early years education.
Qualifications and Skills
Relevant qualification in Early Childhood Education or Childcare (essential).
Proven experience working with children in a nursery or early years setting (essential).
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and support a team.
Good understanding of child development principles and early years frameworks.
Ability to manage multiple responsibilities while remaining calm and organised.
