Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team. Initially a temporary position with a view to possibly becoming permanent in our friendly team.
As a Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the overall operations of our organisation. Your primary responsibility will be to assist the Manager in overseeing the daily activities and ensuring the smooth running of our Ashton setting. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong leadership skills and a passion for early childhood education.
Responsibilities: -
Assist the Manager in managing all aspects of the facility, including staff supervision, curriculum development, and parent communication.
Support the Manager in creating a positive and nurturing environment for children -
Collaborate with the Manager to develop and implement policies and procedures that comply with regulatory requirements
Assist in recruiting, training, and evaluating staff members
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Maintain accurate records and documentation related to children's progress, attendance, and incidents
Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's development and any concerns or issues that may arise.
Experience: -
Previous experience working in a leadership role within a nursery or childcare setting
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with fluency in English
Experience working with children in an early childhood education setting
Ability to effectively manage and motivate a team of staff members
Knowledge of childcare regulations and best practices
Passionate about the Early Years Sector
