Jo Jo's Day Care Nursery Limited - Canterbury ltd are currently recruiting for experienced Deputy Nursery Manager to work in a 'Brand New 80 place Early Years Setting' in Canterbury, Kent.

We currently run a nursery setting in Herne Bay and is rated as 'Good' by Ofsted. This is a very well known setting in the area and has been operating since 2008.

In order to be considered for the role, you will need:

A passionate and positive attitude To role model behaviours including a strong ability to lead and motivate a team Understanding of the EYFS and the ability to fully implement all of its requirements. Understanding of Ofsted's requirements and current legislation. Sound understanding of child development and of children's needs. Ability to plan and implement a pre-school curriculum. Ability to assist with leading and managing a team. Commitment to and understanding of diversity and equality. Ability to write clear reports and communicate clearly in spoken and written form. A minimum of grade C of English and Maths Proven experience and success as a Third in charge / Team Leader / Deputy Nursery Manager - MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE A full and relevant child care qualification (minimum NVQ Level 3 or equivalent but ideally a degree) Experience managing financial budgets Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong parent partnerships to encourage their involvement with their child's next steps.
Your role as Deputy Nursery Manager will include:

Promoting positive relationships with parents, children and colleagues Ensuring health, safety and wellbeing of the children at all times Managing the smooth running of the nursery Leading the staff team to deliver high quality practice within the nursery Office based duties including finances, budget control, parent enquiries, monitoring, supervisions and recruitment.
Also medical clearance and is subject to references.

Current Child Protection and First Aid Training (preferable)
